Nissan's initial steps in forklift truck production were taken in 1957 in response to the requirement within the company's own manufacturing operations. From 1965 on units were exported, initially to the USA, and from 1967 into Europe.

Nowadays Nissan has its own dedicated forklift plants in Japan, Spain and the USA. Nissan sells and services forklifts in more than 75 countries around the world.

Nissan's impressive fork truck range includes internal combustion diesel and gas forklifts, 3 and 4 wheel electric counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks, pallet stackers and order pickers.
